Browsing the site and using the map doesn't require an account, and we don't collect any personal information about you while you do.
To see which areas and problems people find useful, we count page views: for each day, how many times the home page, each area page, each problem page and the map were opened. We only keep those daily totals. We don't record your IP address, set a cookie, or store anything that could identify you or link your visits together, and we don't use any outside analytics service.
To find and fix problems with the site, we use Bugsnag (run by SmartBear) for error monitoring. Technical details are sent to Bugsnag only when something goes wrong: the page address, your browser and device type, and details of the error. We don't include your IP address in these reports, we don't store any identifier on your device, and we don't use this information to track you.
If you send us a contribution or a problem report, we keep what you submit:
We use your email address only to tell you that we've received your submission and whether it was accepted. It is never shown on the site or shared with anyone. If you give a name, it may appear on the contributors leaderboard on the mapping page. Accepted photos, lines and locations are published on the site as part of the guide.
To have your details removed, email hello@bowda.rocks.
If you use offline mode or install Bowda as an app, your browser keeps:
Saved areas are stored only on your device. Reports written offline are sent to us automatically once you are back online, just as if you had submitted them online.
